My final year project, SafeHaven, is a real-time digital safety and welfare monitoring system specifically designed to protect Sri Lankan migrant domestic workers working abroad – particularly in the Middle East. Through a user-friendly mobile app, workers will be able to send instant SOS alerts, share their live GPS location and securely communicate with embassy staff. At the same time, embassy staff will use a mobile and web dashboard to monitor alerts, track movements and manage cases efficiently. By combining technology with human support, SafeHaven aims to reduce response times, prevent abuse and ensure the safety and dignity of vulnerable workers.
